All employees are encouraged to adopt an attitude of continuous improvement. Tilson Scaffolding Ltd is committed to providing the training necessary for employees to do their job efficiently and improve their skills.
We believe investment in our staff to improve their skill base is an investment in the future.
We fully support and uphold the Construction Industry training standards for operatives and ensure that our workforce has full access to appropriate training for the work they do.
The CITB provide specialist training schemes for scaffolders which we take advantage of for our staff. There are various means of acquiring the qualifications – the routes we follow are as an apprentice, or trainee Scaffolder.
All Supervisors have completed the C.I.S.R.S 5 day Supervisors Course
All employees are 100%:
- C.I.S.R.S trained and registered
- Certified SG4 trained
- Certified TG20 trained
Additionally, our employees receive training for the following:
- Abrasive Wheels
- Forklift/ Teleporter
- Slinger/Banksman
- Scaffold Inspection
- Scissorlift and Cherrypickers (MEWP’s)
- Confined Spaces
- First Aid

Bi-monthly Tool Box Talks are held by Tilson Management in our in house training facility, where the use of site safety observations, feedback from our safety representatives and current trends and issues in the industry are discussed with scaffolders. Managers also demonstrate best and poor practices across current sites to ensure that all scaffolding by Tilosn Scaffolding is maintained at the highest level of quality.
